The second half of Saturday's win over Alabama was the best 20 minutes of play for Ole Miss all season. The Rebels poured in 54 points during the final frame, including two Polynice free throws to take the lead for good en route to a 74-67 win.
However, while excitement was certainly high following the win and in the days after, the junior knows there is still work to be done. Seven games remain in the 2009-10 season, with a road trip to in-state rival Mississippi State up first.
Thursday will be the second matchup between Ole Miss and Mississippi State, and will be broadcast nationally on ESPN at 8 p.m. To open SEC play in January, the Bulldogs claimed an 80-75 upset in Oxford.
Dee Bost, who Polynice is campaigning Ole Miss head coach Andy Kennedy to guard Thursday, totaled a game-high 25 points.
