I don't know about that. Both Creighton and Fresno have better RPIs, both won their conference, and Fresno beat Oregon State twice. I think the Beavers lucked out that regional selections were in before the Ducks swept 'em. Then again, Oregon State's 13-5 record against the top 50 is very impressive. Still, who knew that a Friday win over the Trojans would punch the Beavers' regional hosting ticket?
Can anyone explain this team to me? 27-5 in March and April, 11-12 in February and May. 13-5 against the top 50, 10-9 against teams with RPIs 51-100.
Fortunately for the Beavs, this regional won't be held in May (6-9 record) and none of the other regional participants has an RPI between 51-100:
Creighton 26 Georgia 16 UALR 158
