IT WAS A MIXED bag for Oregon State's opponents during week three as two teams knocked off ranked foes, but five of the 11 teams lost.

L, 21-30, Sept. 4

The football fortunes for TCU and Baylor have been drastically different since going their separate ways. The gap was evident in one of their rare games since the end of the Southwest Conference.

Ed Wesley ran 19 times for 165 yards and two touchdowns, Andy Dalton completed 21 of 23 passes for 269 yards with two scores and fourth-ranked TCU stretched its home winning streak to 16 games with a 45-10 victory over the Bears on Saturday.


at Broncos, Sept. 25

-Kellen Moore threw for 370 yards and two touchdowns, Boise State's defense forced three turnovers and the third-ranked Broncos extended their winning streak to 16 with a 51-6 victory against Wyoming on Saturday night.

The Broncos (2-0) showed no signs of rust after a 12-day rest, piling up 648 total yards. They scored 37 straight points to begin the game, allowing Moore & Co. to watch the final quarter from the sideline


vs. Sun Devils, Oct. 2

Wisconsin's Jay Valai blocked a game-tying extra point try and the 11th-ranked Badgers held on for a 20-19 victory over Arizona State on Saturday.

Arizona State's Cameron Marshall scored on a 2-yard touchdown run to cut Wisconsin's lead to 20-19 with 4:09 left in the game. But Valai, a senior safety, burst through the line to block the kick - salvaging what had been a miserable day for the Badgers' special teams.


vs. Wildcats, Oct. 9

Nick Foles hit William Wright with a late 4-yard touchdown pass and No. 24 Arizona held its ground in the national spotlight with a momentum-swinging 34-27 win over ninth-ranked Iowa Saturday night.

Arizona (3-0) jumped out to a 20-point halftime lead behind a slew of big plays that included a blocked punt, Travis Cobb's 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown and an interception returned 85 yards by Trevin Wade for another score.


at Huskies, Oct. 16

Freshman quarterback Taylor Martinez continued to impress with three rushing scores and a passing touchdown in leading No. 8 Nebraska to a 56-21 throttling of Washington.

Martinez threw a 24-yard TD pass to Mike McNeill to open the scoring and went on to rush for 137 yards on 19 carries. His day included an 80-yard TD scamper, while Roy Helu Jr. ripped off a 65-yard scoring run -- one of two scores -- on the way to 110 yards on the ground.


vs. Bears, Oct. 30

Colin Kaepernick ran for 148 yards and three touchdowns and passed for 181 yards and two more scores in Nevada's 52-31 victory over California on Friday night.

Shane Vereen ran for a career-high 198 yards and three touchdowns for the Bears (2-1), who had a 22-1-1 record against Nevada entering the game and had won their only previous contest in Reno 81-6 in 1915.


UCLA (1-2)
at. Bruins, Nov. 6

Johnathan Franklin rushed for 158 yards and three touchdowns, and UCLA rolled to a 31-13 victory Saturday night over No. 23 Houston, which lost star quarterback Case Keenum to an injury for the second straight week.

Kevin Prince passed for 99 yards and rushed for a score as the Bruins (1-2) ricocheted back from a humiliating 35-0 loss to Stanford last week with a stunningly one-sided win over the powerful Cougars (2-1), whose chances for a Conference USA title could be slim without Keenum, the fifth-leading passer in NCAA history.


vs. Cougars, Nov. 13

Kyle Padron threw for 280 yards and four touchdowns and ran for another to lead Southern Methodist to a 35-21 win over Washington State on Saturday.

Padron connected with wide receiver Aldrick Robinson on scoring passes of 67, 16 and 10 yards. Robinson finished the game with 111 yards on four catches.


USC (3-0)
vs. Trojans, Nov. 20

Robert Woods returned a kick 97 yards for a touchdown to jumpstart USC's sluggish offense and the 18th-ranked Trojans pulled away for a 32-21 victory over Minnesota on Saturday.

Allen Bradford rushed for 131 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries as the Trojans (3-0) returned to a power running game with quarterback Matt Barkley struggling.


at. Cardinal, Nov. 27

Quarterback Andrew Luck’s 52-yard touchdown run typified Stanford’s 68-24 rout of Wake Forest on Saturday night.

“There were probably five different points where I thought, ‘should I slide here, should I slide here,’” Luck said.


OREGON (3-0)
vs. Ducks, Dec. 4

LaMichael James ran for 227 yards on 14 carries with two touchdowns and fifth-ranked Oregon easily defeated Portland State 69-0 Saturday in the Ducks' final tuneup before Pac-10 play.

Oregon set a school record with 528 yards rushing, surpassing the mark 465 set at Washington in 2007.
