OAKLAND CORNER AND Beaver target Marcus Peters out of McClymonds High took an official visit to Oregon State this weekend --- and the time in Corvallis has added some clarity to his decision making process..

Oakland (Calif.) McClymonds cornerback Marcus Peters took an official visit to Oregon State this weekend that has added some clarity to his decision making process.

"The trip went really well," said Peters. "I'm not going to take a visit to Utah next weekend; I'm down to just Oregon State and Washington."

Peters was hosted by another Oakland area standout and talked about the highlights from his weekend.

"I was hosted by Ryan Murphy," said Peters. "He went to my high school's rival (Oakland Tech.), so I knew him pretty well."

"I thought that Corvallis was a wonderful city," said Peters. "The people were great and the campus was great."

Peters, who visited Washington in December, has all the information he needs to make a decision.

"I'll make a decision this week," said Peters. "My mom was on the visit with me, so I just have to go back and talk to my dad about it."

While Peters will make a decision this week, he might not go public with the information until signing day.

"I am going to call the coaches when I make a decision," said Peters. "I will probably wait until signing day to tell people."

Peters talked about the most important factor when choosing a college.

"I will go to the place that is the perfect fit for me," said Peters. "Where I get along with the players and can get my degree."
