Spring coverage on BF.C

IT'S NOT THAT far away. Spring football at Oregon State begins later this month and BeaverFootball.com plans on providing our best spring coverage ever this year, with BF.C writer Brandon Sprague sharpening his pencil and putting his boots down squarely on the sidelines in Corvallis.

Brandon provided some of the top insights for Beaver fans during 2010's fall camp on BF.C, and we're pleased to announce he will be filing reports for us over the course of the 15-practice OSU spring session that kicks off on March 28 and runs through the Spring Game on April 30.

Position battles aplenty are expected, the Beavers this spring will be without Jacquizz Rodgers (NFL) and James Rodgers (knee, rehab) for the first time in many a moon and an as-yet-to be determined new assistant will be coming on board to replace departed running backs coach Reggie Davis. And that's just for starters -- there are intriguing spring storylines to be authored across the board on offense, defense and special teams.

And before the 15 days of spring get underway, look for our position-by-position previews later this month leading up to the Beavs' first spring practice.

It may be the offseason, but get comfortable -- there's going to be lots to talk about regarding Beaver Football throughout March and April, and beyond.
