Cali OL checks out OSU, Beavs high on list

OL PROSPECT EDUARDO MIDDLETON has double digit offers, including three from the Pac-12. He recently took an unofficial to Oregon State and the Beavers are high up on his list.

Eduardo Middleton (6-5, 280), who preps at Oceanside, about 40 minutes outside of San Diego, has become a hot commodity on the recruiting scene.

The Beavs will have a battle on their hands however, with fellow Pac-12 schools Utah and WSU looking like their closest competitors. Middleton has now visited all three schools unofficially.

"Coach (Mike) Riley seems like a true players coach, just like everyone says. He's a genuine guy with players, they really respond to him and really want to play for him. I like coach (Mike) Cavanaugh too, he works a lot on technique rather than just going out and hitting sleds all the time," said Middleton.

Middleton said he is no hurry to make a decision.

"It will just come down to where I feel most comfortable." said Middleton.

Middleton's frame, agility and his ability to stop defenders cold in both the running and passing game have made for a busy recruiting season. As a junior he was named All League, All Area, All San Diego Section, All San Diego Academic and took home Oceanside's Offensive Lineman of the Year Award.
