Mountain View's Joel Skotte has gone back and orange.
Skotte gave the coaching staff at Oregon State the call this morning to deliver some good news.
"Things are going pretty well, I just committed to Oregon State," said Skotte. "I wanted to do it before my season started.
"I called them on the phone and I told Coach Riley that I wanted to be a Beaver. I could hear him tell the other coaches and (they) were clapping and excited."
Skotte chose the Beavers over offers from Air Force, Boise State, Idaho and Washington State. So what made Corvallis the right place?
"I guess I would just say that it was just where I felt my heart was at," said Skotte.
Skotte, the top ranked linebacker in the Pacific Northwest, is focused on one thing as his season gets going this weekend.
"It's a great feeling, just to have it taken care of," said Skotte. "I can focus on my senior year."
