Beavs First to Offer Bellarmine Prep LB

Patrick McKillop is a 6-3, 230-pound linebacker from Tacoma (Wash.) Bellarmine Prep and Patrick is still basking in the glow of getting his first scholarship offer. A Pac-10 team has stepped up and given McKillop a full ride to their school. Will that open up the floodgates for more?

"Coach (Mike) Riley called and told me that he liked what he saw on tape and he liked what he heard from my coach," McKillop told TheInsiders.com. "At this point though I'm still keeping my options open."

Former UW linebacker Mike Baldassin was Prep's coach, but has since been replaced by offensive line coach Tom Larsen. Patrick said that Coach Baldassin will still remain an active part of his recruitment and will help him through the process.

McKillop also updated us on his lifting numbers. His bench is now 325 pounds, squat is 460 and power clean is 275. He's also been hearing from Nebraska, Colorado, Northwestern, Michigan State, Washington State, Oregon, Washington and UCLA.

Patrick will be attending camps at Oregon, Washington and Oregon State, as well as the Oregon Nike camp June 14th.
