RB Lands 1st Offer

Dale Morris, a 5-foot-10, 185-pounds junior rushed for 1,526 yards and 17 touchdowns last year for Marist High School in Eugene, Oregon. He likes the Beavers and is looking forward to the Eugene Nike Camp this weekend.

One player we're really looking forward to seeing at the Nike Camp in Eugene (Ore.) this weekend is Eugene (Ore.) Marist running back Dale Morris, the younger brother of former Oregon running back Maurice Morris.

Morris, 5-10, 185 pounds rushed for 1,526 yards and 17 touchdowns as a junior to earn 1st team All-League and 2nd team All-State honors. He also picked off four passes playing cornerback and was a 1st team All-League and 3rd team All-State selection on that side of the ball. The athlete projects as a running back which is where he wants to play in college as well.

Morris, although not as highly regarded as his older brother, is still a very intriguing prospect. He has good size and speed and is very strong. He's hearing from schools all over the country including the entire Pac 10 plus Nebraska, Colorado, Wyoming, Colorado State, Utah, Montana, Iaho, Nevada and Vanderbilt. Portland State has offered a scholarship.

"My top five right now would be Nebraska, Colorado, Oregon, Oregon State and UCLA," Morris said. "I'm looking for a school with a nice blend of athletics and academics along with a nice location."

Morris will attend camps at Oregon and Oregon State as well as the Nike Camp in Eugene.
