Nike camp report - Cole Linehan

Cole Linehan is a 6-3.5, 269-pound defensive lineman from Banks, Oregon and with North Medford's David Faaeteete (who has verbally committed to Oregon), they were the top-2 defensive linemen at the Oregon Nike camp in Eugene Saturday. Cole's brother Josh plays for Oregon State University. Does that mean Cole is a done deal to the Beavers? Not so fast, my friend...

Cole ran a 5.1 40, a 4.6 shuttle, repped 185 pounds 18 times and vertically jumped 26 inches. This was the second time around for Linehan, who also camped as a sophomore. "It was fun last year, but there were better offensive linemen this year and a better opportunity," Linehan told TheInsiders.com. "There were definitely more talented players this year. The one-on-ones are a lot of fun."

Cole camped at the Oregon one day camp following the Nike camp and will also camp at Oregon State. His only offer currently is from Portland State, but it seems like an offer from the Beavers is just a formality.

Will he immediately grab that offer, when or if it comes? At this point, Linehan is intent on playing the field.

"I'm wide open," he said. "I'm still just checking out everything."
