June is camp month for the Beavs

FOR THE BEAVS, June is camp month. Fresh off the May Evaluation period, Oregon State coaches will now turn to providing instruction and on-field evaluation in both the Beaver State and in California. Last year, the Beavs picked up four verbal commitments during the month of June.

Oregon State will hold three Premier Performance Camps over the first two weeks in June.

The dates for those one-day camps per the SID office are June 2, June 8 and June 15.

Last year, the Beavs got their QB commit, Brent Vanderveen, shortly after he participated in one of the Beavs' Premier Performance Camp events.

Oregon State's four-day overnight camp will be held June 22-25.

Because of the ongoing Field Turf replacement project, OSU is limiting the camp to "high school teams and the youth campers associated with the high school this year," the school says on its website. OSU plans on opening the camp back up for individual campers grades 6-12 in 2013.

Oregon State coaches will also be down in California working a camp event, providing instruction at the Fullerton Skills Camp, held Saturday, June 16 at Fullerton College.

Scout.com will be providing wall-to-wall coverage of the Fullerton Skills Camp for BF.C.
