OSU vs. Nicholls State is back on

IT'S BACK ON. Oregon State has rescheduled its football game with Nicholls State for Sat. Dec. 1 at 11:30 a.m. PT. The game will be televised live by the Pac-12 Networks.

Due to extreme weather conditions from Hurricane Isaac, Nicholls State was unable to travel for its game in Corvallis that was originally scheduled for Sat. Sept. 1, Oregon State SID said in a release on Thursday.

Both institutions reached an agreement to reschedule the game for 11:30 a.m. PT on Dec. 1 -- with the understanding that the contest will not be played should either OSU qualify for the Pac-12 Football Championship Game or Nicholls State qualifies for the NCAA FCS playoffs. If either of those scenarios unfolds the game will be canceled, the contract becomes null and void and Oregon State would play only 11 regular season games.

Tickets for the originally scheduled game remain valid for the new date. Season ticket holders that wish to exchange their tickets for a Pac-12 home game (based on availability), excluding the Civil War, may do so by contacting OSU at 1-800-GO-BEAVS between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays. Single game and mini-plan ticket holders may request an exchange or refund beginning Mon., Sept 17.

Ticket holders that have already acted on an exchange or refund must place a new order if they wish to attend the rescheduled game with Nicholls State, said OSU.

The Beavers, coming off a 10-7 victory over No. 13 Wisconsin last Saturday, are idle this week before returning to action with two consecutive road games beginning Sat. Sept. 22 at the Rose Bowl against UCLA in an ABC/ESPN2 nationally televised game. OSU then travels to Tucson to play Arizona on Sat. Sept. 29 before returning home to face Washington State on Sat. Oct. 6 at Reser Stadium.
