Sophomore forward Eric Moreland took a pass from junior forward Devon Collier and threw it down with one hand for a sensational, posterizing dunk.
It was waved off.
The officials called a charge on Moreland plus a technical foul, as he stared down a fallen Tony Woods.
Everything changed after that.
The Ducks put together a 21-7 run and went to the foul line time after time the rest of the way in an 85-75 win. Oregon was in the bonus with 13:41 left in the half. They made 25 second half trips to the charity stripe.
"I thought they called a blocking foul and my emotions got the best of me," Moreland said. "I looked down at him and you can't do that, it's taunting and I got a technical, which cost me my third foul."
It might not have been a foul, replays seemed to show Woods bringing his foot out of the circle after Moreland took flight, but the technical was certainly warranted.
The loss overshadowed Roberto Nelson's night -- he scored 31 points for the Beavers (13-16, 3-13), and Devon Collier added 14.
Nelson was unstoppable in the first half, scoring 22 points on 9-of-13 shooting. Nine points came in the final 4 minutes of the half, including a 3-pointer at the buzzer, as the Beavers overcame a 29-25 deficit to lead 41-34 at halftime.
The Ducks shot 51 percent from the field — their best shooting performance in 10 games — and with just 10 turnovers, five less than their season average. The Beavers shot 47 percent from the field and outrebounded the Ducks 32-28. But they also committed 18 turnovers that Oregon turned into 23 points.
