Beavs' Reynolds named to watch list

Oregon State senior cornerback Rashaad Reynolds has been named to the Jim Thorpe Award 2013 watch list. The award is given to the nation's top defensive back. In 2012, Reynolds defended 16 passes to rank second in the Pac-12 and among the nation's leaders. He tied the Oregon State single game record with five passes broken up in an early season win at Arizona.

The Thorpe Award Winner will be announced on Thursday, Dec. 12.

The Beavers return to the practice field in preparation for the 2013 season on Aug. 5 for the start of fall camp. OSU opens the year at Reser Stadium against Eastern Washington on Aug. 31 at 3 p.m. on the Pac-12 Networks.
