COMMIT: Bellevue DE goes black and orange

OREGON STATE HAS picked up their second commit from the Evergreen State in their 2014 class. And like many recruits these days, he announced his decision on twitter.

Shane Bowman is a Beaver.

"Shane Bowman ?@shanebowman5426m
Just committed to Oregon State! #GoBeavs," read the post on Bowman's twitter account Saturday.

Bowman (6-4, 240), chose the Beavs over seven other offers albeit most were from smaller schools -- Nevada, Idaho, UNLV, Portland State, Montana State, Montana and Northern Colorado.

The Beavers offered Bowman after an excellent performance at their summer camp in June.

Danny Langsdorf and Joe Seumalo were the two primary point persons on Bowman's recruitment.

Playing his junior year around 210-215 pounds, Bowman has gotten to 240 pounds this offseason.

Bowman joins QB Nick Mitchell out of Snoqualmie as the second commit from the state of Washington for the Beavers.

Bowman and Bellevue will make a run at their sixth straight state 3A title when they open their season in a huge game, long in the making, against 4A Skyline on September 7. Skyline has won two straight 4A crowns and six of the last eight 4A championships.
