Because the players in question will apparently go forward with the team in all offseason activities. What might happen when the games start in the winter is unknown.
Devon Collier, a senior forward, and Eric Moreland, a junior forward, "will be allowed to participate with the team in summer workouts and strength/conditioning activities while attending summer school classes," Robinson said in a statement.
Both Moreland and Collier were in the Beavers' top-five in total minutes played during 2012-13.
Collier was the Beavers' second-leading scorer last season, averaging 12.6 points to go along with 6.0 rebounds per game.
Meanwhile, Moreland averaged 9.4 points and 10.6 rebounds and considered declaring for the NBA draft before opting to return to Oregon State.
Robinson had said earlier that Moreland could grow into a first-round NBA draft pick with more seasoning at Oregon State.
A Beavers spokesman said OSU officials will have no further comment at this time.
