BREAKING: Beavs land 'great pick up' at LB

OREGON STATE HAS picked up a linebacker verbal out of Oklahoma. And one of the Scout.com publishers who has seen him play live, who has seen what he's done his senior season at defensive end going up against much bigger o-linemen, says the Beavers got themselves a steal in Jonathan Willis.

SoonersIllustrated Publisher Bob Przybylo was at the OU-TCU game and says Tulsa, Okla. linebacker Jonathan Willis out of Booker T. Washington High told him he has committed to Oregon State.

Willis projects to be a linebacker at Oregon State, which makes his defensive end stats this season all that more impressive going up against tackles that are a lot heavier than he is.

Willis has 23 tackles and five sacks through three games.

When Przybylo saw him in person three weeks ago, he had five tackles for loss in the second half.

"He only gets stronger as the game wears on," says Przybylo.

Indeed, Przybylo says the Beavs scored on this one.

"Loved what I saw from Willis earlier this season," says Przybylo . "Great pick up."
