It's a surprise that OSU still could not break into the AP and Coaches polls but if Oregon State can pull of the upset this week over Stanford, they will undoubtedly make a good-sized jump.
The 7:30 pm game is in Corvallis and Stanford opened as a 6 1/2 point favorite. The line has since moved to 5.
In the 'Others receiving votes' category in the AP poll, Oregon State is 28th. In the Coaches, the Beavs are 27th.
In the Coaches, there are 11 teams who have one loss -- Stanford, Clemson, UCLA, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Louisville, Auburn, Virginia Tech, Nebraska, Michigan and Central Florida. In addition, there are four more teams with two losses -- LSU, Texas A&M, South Carolina and Wisconsin.
It's the same in the AP, 11 teams have one loss and four have two losses.
