OREGON STATE WAS supposed to have trouble with the Boise State rush. The Beavs weren't supposed to be able to run and they surely weren't supposed to score two touchdowns on defense. But the Beavers piled up the offensive yards and a big lead, thanks to Rashaad Reynolds taking two fumbles long into the Honolulu sun, as Oregon State dominated much of the Hawaii Bowl and secured a 38-23 victory.

Oregon State rushed for 195 yards on 33 attempts.

Storm Woods had 16 carries for 107 yards and Terron Ward went for 54 hashes on nine carries. Both scored a touchdown.

Sean Mannion went 24-of-33 for 259 yards and a touchdown as the Beavs racked up 454 yards.

Brandin Cooks had eight grabs for 60 yards and a TD and added another 29 yards on four carries.

The Beaver o-line, meanwhile, gave Mannion plenty of time and did not allow a single sack.

The Beaver defense wasn't as generous, racking up five sacks on Boise State quarterback Grant Hendrick, including one where Beaver DE Scott Crichton stipped the ball. Rashaad Reynolds scooped up and took three yards in for score.

It was the first of Reynolds' touchdowns. The Beaver corner took another fumble back 70 yards to put the Beavers up 24-6 early in the second quarter.

Oregon State, who finished 7-6 on the season, had given up plenty of yardage by the end of the game, over 500 yards, but the Beaver D also kept Boise State out of the end zone until the third quarter, well after the Beavers had opened a big lead.
