Future Beav Clarkson excels at Semper Fi

FUTURE BEAVER OFFENSIVE LINEMAN Drew Clarkston out of Camas, Wash. started strong on the first day of the West practices for the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl and hasn't slowed down one bit since.

It's becoming clearer with every passing day that the Beavs landed a gem in offensive guard Drew Clarkson (6-4, 275) out of Camas, Wash.

"Clarkson may have had the best one-on-one rep of the day, going against Zaycoven Henderson and driving him back five yards and pancaking him, much to the delight of the other offensive linemen. Clarkson may have been the most aggressive lineman on Day One," reports Scout.com's Brandon Huffman.

Henderson was the teams' top defensive lineman on the day. He's a four-star DT out of Texas who is committed to the Longhorns.

The fact Clarkson is still playing on a semi-pulled hammy makes it that much more noteworthy, reports Scout.com's Greg Biggins.

Biggins noted it was hard to tell Clarkson wasn't 100 percent given how well he moved around in the box.

Scout.com put up a video clip that featured Clarkson and others in OL/DL drills:

The Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl will be held Sunday at 6 pm on Fox Sports 1.
