OSU HOOPS: What's a guy got to do?

HERE'S A HEAD SCRATCHER. Oregon State's Roberto Nelson led the conference in scoring this year. Yet when the Pac-12 all-conference teams were unveiled on Monday, Nelson was tabbed second team. It is only the third time since 1955 a player has lead the conference in scoring and not made the first team.

Roberto Nelson led the Pac-12 in scoring in both conference games (20.1) and overall games (20.6).

And yet that somehow doesn't get you on the first team. Um, okay.

Nelson is also on pace to lead the Beavs in scoring, assists, steals, three-point field goals and minutes played.

Forward Eric Moreland, despite missing half the season, was named Pac-12 All-Defensive Honorable Mention. He became the all-time blocks leader at OSU earlier this season and currently has 181 swats. Moreland is also fifth on OSU's all-time rebounding list at 744.

OSU guard Hallice Cooke was named to the Pac-12 All-Freshmen Team Honorable Mention. He is the Pac-12's second best three-point shooter at 46.3 percent and ranks second on the team in assists (72) and steals (26).

Oregon State faces Oregon on Wednesday in the first round of the Pac-12 tournament at 6 p.m.
