VERBAL: JUCO DB goes black and orange

A COUPLE YEARS AGO, Treshon Broughton appeared all set to verbally commit to Oregon State. The 6-0, 170-pound cornerback was high on the Beavs and was headed to Corvallis on an official visit. Long story short, Broughton changed his mind and signed with Fresno State. But he never enrolled. He'll play at LA Harbor this season. And he just verballed to the Beavs.

"Los Angeles (Calif.) L.A Harbor JC DB Treshon Broughton has committed to Oregon State," Scout.com's Greg Biggins reports.

Broughton had grade issues out of high school and never enrolled, says Biggins.

He'll play at Harbor this upcoming season and then enroll at Oregon State next spring with three years to play two.

Broughton started his last two years at Tustin High, when the Tillers played in back to back CIF championship games winning it all in 2011.

Before his senior season, Biggins had this to say on Broughton:

"Treshon Broughton doesn't get mentioned much when talking about the top corners in the state but there's no doubt he can play. He was one of the standouts at the recent Passing Down SoCal Regional Championship playing for GameChangers and is a definite BCS level prospect."

Oregon State was his first Pac-12 offer back when he was in high school. It took a while, but it looks like he's finally OSU-bound.
