New Beaver LB verbal covers a lot of ground

THE THREE LINEBACKERS listed atop the Beavers' spring depth chart are all seniors and Oregon State will need to reload. Part of the process is taking place out on the recruiting trial, where OSU landed a verbal from a junior college linebacker who could show up in Corvallis at any time.

Kyle Haley was full qualified out of high school but didn't score any BCS offers so he went the JC route at Golden West Community College.

The Beavs offered him and he quickly jumped on board, according to reports.

Haley, (6-1, 210) is two years removed from Western High in Anaheim and grayshirted in 2012 at Golden West before playing as a true freshman this past season.

He had a bang-up season, posting 56 tackles, including 3.5 sacks.

He was named first team All-California Region IV and was a unanimous first-team all conference selection in 2013.

Whether Haley arrives at Oregon State this summer or next winter is yet to be determined and will likely come down to scholarship math in the months to come.
