Oregon State was picked to finish fourth in the six-team Pac-12 North Division in the 2014 preseason poll of media members who regularly cover the league, it was announced at Pac-12 Media Day.
In the poll, Oregon was tabbed first in the North, followed by Stanford, UW, Oregon State, WSU and Cal.
Oregon was the pick to win the conference over UCLA by a vote of 24 to 13, who finished first in the poll in the South Division. One vote was cast each for both Stanford and USC to win the conference title game.
In the North polling, Oregon received 232 points (37 first-place votes) by the media, followed by Stanford (192, 2); Washington (142); Oregon State (125); Washington State (87) and Cal (41).
The media poll has correctly selected the Conference Champion in 28 of 53 previous polls, including 11 of the last 14.
