Six Beavers receive All-Pac-12 recognition

TWO OREGON STATE SENIORS, Steven Nelson and Dylan Wynn, lead a six-member Oregon State football contingent on the Pac-12 All-Conference football teams, the conference announced Tuesday night. Both Wynn and Nelson were named to the second team as selected by the 12 league coaches.

Nelson, a cornerback, will also represent the Beavers in next month’s Senior Bowl All-Star Game.

The Warner Robins, Ga., native started for the Beavers for two years after transferring from the College of the Sequoias. He made 122 total tackles, eight interceptions and 16 pass breakups during his career. Nelson was a Pac-12 Honorable Mention selection last season.

Wynn (pictured above) is a four-year letterman defensive end from Concord, Calif. He made 214 total tackles for his career, 54 this season.

He also compiled 24.5 career tackles for losses for his stint, including 12 this year and played out of position at times, on the inside of the line at 270-pounds, when OSU was hit by injuries.

Linebacker Michael Doctor, quarterback Sean Mannion, safety Ryan Murphy and running back Terron Ward each earned Pac-12 Honorable Mention.

Mannion, who set the all-time Pac-12 career passing mark this season, earned the all-conference honor for the second straight season, as did Murphy and Ward.
