HOOPS: OSU's star-studded class not complete?

OREGON STATE's 2015 class was rated No. 24 in the nation by Scout.com. It might tick up further between now and the start of the season.

Forward Victor Robbins was dismissed from the team, head man Wayne Tinkle told The Oregonian on Friday evening. That opens up another spot for 2015-16.

Robbins was suspended 10 games back in January for violating athletic department policy. Eight games into the suspension, he was cited for DUI and suspended indefinitely. Tinkle said the agreed-upon parameters for reinstatement were not met, leading to the parting of the ways.

Robbins, a 6-7, 197-pound junior, had emerged as the Beavs' sixth man and a key cog, settling in at third on the team at 10.3 points per game and providing a spark off the bench.

Oregon State's highly rated five-member recruiting class includes C Gligorije Rakocevic, SG Stephen Thompson Jr., PF Tres Tinkle, PG Derrick Bruce and C Drew Eubanks.
