4-star athlete talks Oregon State interest

With three visits already set up, 4-star linebacker/wide receiver Rahyme Johnson talks about his interest in Oregon State and plans for a possible visit.

Los Angeles (California) Salesian linebacker/wide receiver Rahyme Johnson has offers from across the nation.  The one-time UCLA commit caught BeaverBlitz up with the latest from his recruitment and his interest in the Beavers.

"I have three visits set up with Nebraska, Florida and Texas A & M," he said. "I'm looking at possibly coming up to Oregon State on November 24."

That of course, is Civil War weekend, and a chance for Johnson to see both the Beavers and the Ducks, a team that has recently been in more contact with the 6-foot-4, 210 pound linebacker.

For the Beavers, wide receiver coach Brent Brennan has been taking the lead on Johnson's recruitment.

"I haven't seen any Oregon State coaches in awhile, but I talk to Coach Brennan regularly," Johnson said.

While Johnson could play offense or defense at Oregon State, Coach Brennan likes his size and physicality on the field.

Johnson promised to keep BeaverBlitz posted with any updates on his recruitment and will confirm once his visit is scheduled to Oregon State.
