Georgia tackle eyes visit to Oregon State

Oregon State continues to stretch their recruiting efforts across the nation. BeaverBlitz.com checks in with a Georgia defensive lineman to get the latest.

Oregon State coaches first saw McDonough (Georgia) Henry County defensive lineman Jahmal Wynter during the Minority Coaches Association of Georgia camp held in June.  They liked what they saw and offered Wynter on the spot.  Since then, Wynter has received his official written offer from Coach Andersen and is still hearing from the Beavers often.

"I'm about to setup a visit with Oregon State," Wynter said. "I've received a lot of letters from them and I'm really excited about the Beavers."

Wynter said that he has been receiving some interest from Georgia Tech and some FCS programs, but his excitement is with Oregon State at the moment.

The 6-foot-3, 266 pound athlete plays both tackle and end for Henry County.  He is physical and has a great first step.  He promised to give BeaverBlitz a head's up when he get's his visit scheduled later this week.
