Oregon State is already making early offers to 2018 prospects including the top junior quarterback prospects. The latest offer goes out to Clovis (California) Clovis West QB Adrian Martinez. Colorado State, Nevada and Fresno State were early offers for the 6-foot-3, 185 pound prospect, but the PAC 12 is taking notice as Cal offered last week and now the Beavers are throwing their hat in the ring.
BeaverBlitz.com checked in with Martinez to get his early thoughts on the Beavers.
"I have watched Pac-12 football and Oregon State all my life so I'm excited with the future relationships I'll form with the OSU coaching staff," Martinez said.
He was offered by cornerbacks coach Cory Hall, who recruits the area for Oregon State. Martinez has not yet spoken to quarterback coach/offensive coordinator Kevin McGiven yet, but he is anxious to do so.
"No I have not (spoken to McGiven)," Martinez said. "Hopefully soon though we will come in contact."
Martinez has no immediate plans to visit Corvallis, but looks forward to learning more about the Oregon State program in the months ahead. The Beavers also offered 2017 quarterback Tanner McKee this past weekend from powerhouse Corona (California) Centennial.
