Four-star 2018 cornerback talks about Oregon State visit

A large contingent of athletes from the Portland metro area took in the Oregon State – Boise State game last weekend inside Reser Stadium last weekend

Among the unofficial visitors was 2018 four-star cornerback, Braden Lenzy out of Tigard High School.

Oregon State, Oregon, Cal, Washington State and Purdue have extended early offers to Lenzy but a myriad of other programs have been in touch including Notre Dame, UCLA, USC, UCLA, Stanford and Washington. With Tigard High School off to a hot start (4-0 record at this time) and Lenzy leading one of the state’s best defenses, undoubtedly more college programs will come calling as his season progresses.

For now though, Lenzy is happy to take in the local teams and continue to familiarize himself with the programs. Early this year, he took in the first two Duck home games.

As for this past weekend in Corvallis, Braden had this to say about his unofficial visit.

"This past weekend was pretty cool at OSU," Lenzy told BeaverBlitz.  "I got to see many of my friends that are being recruited there and it was just a fun time down in Corvallis. I love the new facilities and always love talking to Coach Hall. He’s a good dude and an even better coach and it’s always a pleasure talking to him. I thought the team played great in the second half but came up a little short."

While Lenzy still has a year and a half before he will signing his letter of intent,  it appears that Oregon State is already making him a priority and a return trip is already in the works.

"I believe I’ll be back for the Civil War and am very excited for that," he said.

Stay tuned to BeaverBlitz for continued coverage of Lenzy's recruitment as well as Oregon State's efforts to round out the 2017 class.
