Angie Machado: Oregon State 18 - Utah 14
Oregon State always seems to play Utah tough and this is most likely going to be a game determined by who can run the ball with more success as the weather sounds like it will be downright dreadful. Early in the week I picked Utah, but as we get closer and the forecast seems to be pretty blustery and the Utes are pretty beat up. I'm going with my preseason gut pick of Beavs winning an ugly game.
Eric Machado: Oregon State 23 - Utah 20
With the weather forecast, this could be one wild game. There will likely be a plethora of turnovers, that could swing the outcome one way or the other. I'm going with the positive momentum the Beavers captured last week, along with my preseason prediction of a win in this game.
Jeff Perry: Utah 20 - Oregon State 14
Ugly weather leads to ugly football, but I fear Utah is better constructed on both sides of the ball to get through such a game.
John Newby: Utah 36 - Oregon State 30 OT
The victory over Cal was a massive boost for the struggling Beavers. Unfortunately, Utah has a phenomenal defense that forces turnovers at will. Darell Garretson has struggled this season with interceptions, which could put his team in an early hole. Hopefully Ryan Nall will be healthy and ready to keep the offense balanced.
Adam Nicholson: Oregon State 25 - Utah 16
The Utes are currently ravaged with injuries on both sides of the ball; starters at RB, C, OT, DE and TE are already ruled out for the game and more are trying to battle through them. They're down to their 4th string C and had to ask a RB who had medically retired earlier this year to come back to provide numbers for them in the backfield. If the Beavers can get their running game going in the adverse weather, I like their chances. It looks like neither team will be able to muster much of a passing game with the wind blowing between 40-60 mph and gusts reaching 80 mph. It won't be pretty but a win over a ranked team would be huge for the Beavers program moving forward.
Brian Rathbone: Oregon State 17 -Utah 12
After a 3-0 start to year with these picks, I've fallen flat on my face with two terribly wrong picks, but I'm not even mad about last week. With the weather playing a factor, I'm thinking this will be a low scoring game with....Oregon State coming out on top 17-12.
Peter Riley Osborne: Utah 28- Oregon State 17
While the game against Cal showed toughness and resiliency, Utah is a different beats entirely. If we rush for 250 yards against them we will win the game (partly because we will be able to control the field and partly because if we run that much it means we are ahead or close.). I am interested to see how our tackles do with their DE's and how we are able to run on their defense. I do not think that Utah will score a ton of points, but seven of those I think will come off a turnover, either directly or indirectly through a short field. Utah leads the conference in interceptions so we will have to be ready! Go Beavs!
Raju Woodward: Utah 17 - Oregon State 13
I think OSU keeps this one close, due to Utah's offense not being as uptempo, and the cruddy weather. But Utah's D will wear out the Beavs just enough to score a go-ahead touchdown.
