Oregon State welcomed four official visitors to Corvallis this weekend, including three-star running back Calvin Tyler from Silsbee, Texas. The 5-foot-9, 185 pound athlete loved everything he saw in Corvallis.
"It went great," Tyler told BeaverBlitz on Sunday morning. "The coaches passed the first test and I liked that they very up front. I know I can trust them, so I was just waiting to make it to Corvallis and when I made it, it felt like I was in my hometown. It felt like home."
Wide receiver Trevon Bradford was Tyler's host and the two hit it off. Tyler said they felt like brothers already.
Tyler now returns home to Texas with a lot to think about. With offers on the table from Cal, Illinois, Louisiana Tech, Fresno State and others, he has a week and a half to figure out where he will continue his football and academic pursuits.
Oregon State set the bar high. Stay tuned to BeaverBlitz for the very latest in Calvin's recruitment and the rest of the Beavers recruiting efforts heading into National Signing Day 2017.
