Two commitments for Oregon State

Oregon State landed two verbal commitments during the final official visit weekend of 2017.

It was busy in the Valley Football Center on Saturday as offensive lineman Clay Cordasco and running back B.J. Baylor both committed to Coach Andersen.

Baylor, a 6-foot 180 pound running back from Wharton, Texas was a late addition to the Beavers visit list.  He joins Calvin Tyler, another Texas running back for the class, who committed to the Beavers last weekend.  Baylor has good speed and size for a running back and flew a bit under the recruiting radar this past year.

Cordasco, a 6-foot-6, 320 pound offensive lineman from Los Angeles Valley Junior College has seen his recruitment pick up over the past three weeks.  Cordasco is a native of the Northeast, told BeaverBlitz that the coaches are what sold him to Oregon State.

"The coaches care about you," he said. "Coach Woods and Coach Andersen are great people."

Both athletes are still currently in Corvallis on their official visits. Stay tuned to BeaverBlitz for more on both of these young men as the Beavers prepare for Signing Day 2017 on Wednesday.
