4-star linebacker talks Oregon State offer

Offers are going out to the best prospects in the class of 2018. Oregon State is in the middle of their evaluation and offers and recently extended an offer to 4-star outside linebacker Reggie Hughes.

Calabasas High in California has been a hotbed of football talent in recent years. 2018 is no exception and the Beavers are hoping to make an early impression on several of the Coyotes top players.

6-foot-1, 200 pound linebacker Reggie Hughes recently added an Oregon State offer to his growing list of offers and the 4-star athlete is excited about learning more about Oregon State.

"I thought that it was great," Hughes said of adding the OSU offer. "I really liked talking on the phone with Coach Hall and I felt like he was a stand up guy and really wanted me."

While Hughes has never been to Corvallis, he is excited visit in the future as he has a friend who is already on the team.

"I was also excited because I know Brandon Arnold who is a close friend with my sister and me," he said. "I also like how Oregon State is the number one college town, so overall I was very happy and excited when I got the offer. I'm looking forward to my visit."

Hughes currently has five offers including Boston College, UCLA, Nebraska and Washington State.
