CORVALLIS – The Oregon State women's basketball team punched its ticket to the Sweet 16 for the second-straight year, as the No. 2 seed Beavers knocked off No. 7 seed Creighton 64-52 Sunday evening at Gill Coliseum.
"I loved the way we scored in the first half," said Oregon State head coach Scott Rueck. "Hats off to Creighton for a phenomenal game and a phenomenal season. The atmosphere here was incredible all weekend. This was  great way to send off our seniors in their final game at Gill, and it was a great weekend for Beaver Nation."
Oregon State will now head to the Stockton Regional, where it will take on No. 3 seed Florida State in the Sweet 16 on Saturday.
The Beavers' pair of senior guards showed their experience as they led the way. Sydney Wiese finished with 13 points, seven rebounds and four assists, while Gabriella Hanson went for a season-high tying 13 points.
