White talks Oregon State

4-star quarterback Brevin White has been making visits all over the country this spring, including a trip to Oregon State. He caught us up on his recruitment and his first impression of Corvallis.

BeaverBlitz caught up with Brevin White while he was in Tennessee visiting campuses, but the four-star quarterback with double-digit offers was impressed with what he saw in Corvallis.  Former Beaver wide receiver coach Brent Brennan originally offered White for Oregon State, but with Brennan's departure, White was excited to meet and begin building a relationship with Coach Andersen and quarterback coach Kevin McGiven.

"Oregon State was a very, very awesome visit," he said. "I really didn't know what to expect as I've never been on campus before, but the visit was great and I enjoyed it very much. It left a big impression, from the campus environment to the facilities."

What stood out the most to White?

"Meeting with Coach McGiven and Coach Andersen," he said. "I loved meeting with them and seeing the team.  Meeting Coach Andersen gave me a better idea of the program and where it is going. He is an encouraging individual and I got to know him and who he is on a more personal level, not just him as a football coach.  It was nice to really start to build a relationship with him."

White and his family also visited Oregon where he focused on meeting Coach Taggert and Coach Arroyo.  Not surprisingly, White said that the facilities stood out in Eugene.

"The facilities are unreal," he laughed. "There are no words."

With so many unknowns coming into his Oregon State visit, did the Beavers make a big enough impression to stay in the running?

"Yes, 100%," White said. "Everyone is still in the running, but OSU did make enough of an impression and they're around the top for sure."

BeaverBlitz will continue to follow White's recruitment and keep you updated on new offers or visits that he plans.
