Dallas Taylor-Cortez has seen his recruitment pick up over the past several weeks. The 3* cornerback has seen college coaches come by Chaminade College Prep to see him in person, and the offers have followed.
Arizona, Iowa State, Hawaii, Washington State and Oregon State joined BYU and Wyoming in his recruitment. The Beavers have been in touch with the big cornerback for a while though.
“I’ve been talking with Coach Hall for a really long time, we talk at least three times a week. He told me back in March that he was going to offer me but he wanted to see me in person before doing it. He came down last week and got to see me run at track practice and meet me in person to see that I was every bit of 6’3”. Then he told me I had an offer,” Taylor-Cortez told BeaverBlitz.
Despite new schools entering into the picture seemingly weekly, Dallas is fairly set on a timetable for making his commitment. One thing he knows for sure is that once he makes his commitment, it is the program that he will be signing with as.
“I would like to make my commitment this summer. I want to be able to see some schools before making a decision. I don’t plan on decommitting once I make a decision so seeing how I fit into a program.”
With his track season wrapping up, Taylor-Cortez has a few stops set up for this summer, as he would like to see the schools that he is serious about before making his commitment.
“I’m going down to LSU early on in June for their camp. I’m also planning on camping at USC and Washington this summer. I do want to visit Oregon State, Washington State and whatever else I can fit in.”
BeaverBlitz will continue to keep in touch with Dallas Taylor-Cortez as his recruitment continues to unfold.
