Eddie Tillman has flown under the radar a bit this spring. The running back out of New Orleans' McDonogh 35 High School, helped lead the Roneagles to a 16-2 record and an appearance in Louisiana's Class 4A championship game.
Despite the exposure from last year, Tillman's recruitment has been a bit slow so far. Just Oregon State has extended an offer to the 5'11" 175-pound lightning back.
"The offer came when I was at school. Coach Phillips told me 'We pulled the trigger on you, you're the type of back we want!' It was a great feeling & my thoughts for OSU are positive. I like the school and the team but I will have to make a visit there as I've never been there," Tillman told BeaverBlitz.
That visit to Oregon State is one that Tillman hopes to make at some point this summer. If not then, more than likely this fall Tillman will take an official visit to see Corvallis and all that Oregon State has to offer. With the summer looming, Eddie has a few things on the docket.
"My plans for the summer include camps, 7on7s, hopefully a visit to OSU and then just continuing to work out and push myself."
Outside of his communication with Coach Jason Phillips and Oregon State, Tillman indicated that Troy State has started conversations with him and that a few other schools have checked in but he hasn't picked up any other offers yet.
