Men Wrap Up Exhibition Play

The 2003 edition of the Beaver basketball teams returns to Gill Sunday to finish up exhibition play against the Sydney Comets at 2:00 p.m.

The Comets wrap up their four game tour in Corvallis after losing to St. Mary's of California (74-60), losing to Arizona (109-66), and beating Utah (74-75).

Oregon State lost their first exhibition game on Tuesday falling to the EA Sports SW All-Starts 93-83 in overtime. Forward David Lucas paced the Beavers with 18 points and 15 rebounds despite having a rough night from the field.

Freshman Kyle Jeffers had a nice game as well posting a double-double with 12 points and 11 boards.

Once again center Derek Potter will not play as he is suffering from back spasms. OSU officials have not set a timetable for his return.

Tickets for Sunday's game can be purchased on-line at, by phone at 1-800-GO-BEAVS, or in person at the Gill Coliseum ticket window. Tickets are $9 or $5.

The two o-clock game is the final exhibition game for the Beavers before they open season play on November 22 against Prairie View.
