Beavers Still Lead for WR James Finley

James Finley, 6-2, 195 pound wide receiver from Manual Arts (Calif.) is having a big senior season and is easily one of the top five wide outs on the West Coast. Oregon State was a big pre-season leader. Has anything changed since then?

Finley is big, fast and has very good hands. He'll one of the featured wide outs in the CaliFlorida Bowl January 2 and has been putting up big numbers this season.

"I had a good game last weekend," Finley said. "I caught 10 passes for 137 yards and I'm getting close to 1,000 yards already on the season. Our team is only 3-3 but I'm just trying to go out and finish on a high note."

Oregon State had a big early season lead and in fact, Finley thought about committing to the Beavers before the season.

"Oregon State is still my leader, nothing has changed," Finley said. "I know they're not doing real well but they still have a great staff and Derek Anderson is a big time quarterback. I also like USC, Oklahoma, Washington State and Fresno State.

"The only visit I've set up is with Washington State for November 2 but I hope to be setting up my other visits in the next month or so."
