Did the all state LB commit?

Alan Darlin, the All-State linebacker from Sacramento, CA was down to two schools, the Univeristy of Washingon and Oregon State University before visiting Corvallis this weekend. TheInsiders.com got in touch with him Sunday evening and here is what he had to say.

"I committed to OSU on Sunday" said the 235lb 'backer. "It came down to the coaches, and OSU is a place where I feel that I can have an impact."

Alan's host was Jonathan Pollard and he also spent some time talking with Richard Seigler.   Darlin said he has been impressed by the number of linebackers the Beavers have been putting into the NFL.  "I got to watch Barnett play a couple of times this year," Darlin admitted.

Over ten recruits visited the OSU campus this week and according the Alan, he was not the only one to have committed to the orange and black.  "I know Adam Speer (LB for West Hills Chaminade) committed," Darlin said.   "I believe Jon Ioane (OL for Tustin), Patrick Fuller (RB for Covina Charter Oak) and Wallace Bates (LB for Woodland Hills Taft) also committed."

When asked about fellow Sacramentan Lemar Herron and the possibility of him going to OSU Darlin stated, "He lives right around the corner from me, I will have to work on him."
