Remember 1996...Jerry Pettibone and Bryan Ludwick

Reacquaint yourself with Beaver football players of the past as we take a look at some of the players from the 1996 squad. <br><br> Jerry Pettibone seemed to have the Beavers moving in the right direction. DE Bryan Ludwick was looking to have a standout season after have a superb spring camp.

Jerry Pettibone Head Coach Jerry Pettibone

Jerry Pettibone enters his sixth season as OSU's head coach in 1996. He was named co-runner-up for Division 1-A Coach of the Year by Sports Illustrated in 1993.

Jerry came to OSU after a very successful six-year stint at Northern Illinois and assistant roles at Oklahoma, SMU, Nebraska and Texas A&M. OSU, under Pettibone, has led the Pacific-10 Conference in rushing for the past four years and have been ranked in the top 20 nationally each year.


Bryan Ludwick

Bryan is a three-year letterman for Oregon State. However, injuries have hamperd him all during his career to date with the Beavers. After starting the first three games of the season in 1995, he suffered a season ending injury.

Bryan had a fantastic spring practice and OSU is expecting a big senior year out of Bryan in 1996, either as a starting defensive end or linebacker.
