James Greule's Top 10 Oregon State football recruits for 2005, in no particular order. Updated on June 15, 2004.

Recorded 60 tackles and 14 sacks as a junior...has offers from Florida, State, USC, Oregon State, UCLA, Arizona, Nebraska, and Duke...will attend the Florida State and Oregon State summer camps...strong and athletic...quick, in the mold of DeLawrence Grant and LaDarius Jackson...does not have a favorite.

Earned second-team All-West Valley honors as a junior...threw for 1,881 yards and 21 touchdowns while also rushing for 245 yards and three touchdowns on 45 carries...has one official offer from Utah and two verbal offers from Michigan, Stanford Nike Camp in the spring.

2003 Associated Press all-state first-team...Big-9 Co-Offensive Player of the Year...All Big-9...ran for 1,814 yards and 32 touchdowns ... 2003 Tacoma News Tribune 'Nugget in Waiting'...has scholarship offers from Oregon State, Washington and Nebraska...likes Washingon, Notre Dame, USC, Washington State, and Oregon...UW is recruiting him the hardest...sister attends UW and his favorite athlete is Corey Dillon.

Brother of current Beaver Whitfield Usher...very quick...caught 21 passes for 595 yards and eight touchdowns...named first team all-city for his efforts....looking for early playing time...almost qualified...will look around, but keep a close eye on Corvallis...Beavers have a good shot at landing Usher due to the family connection...also very interested in UCLA, Oklahoma, USC, and Florida State...has offers from Washington State, Arizona State, Oregon and Arizona...will attend the Nike San Diego Camp.

Named first team all-league, metro, and state under-class...had 950 yards rushing with 18 touchdowns and caught 15 passes for 360 yards and four touchdowns...on defense, had 79 tackles and five interceptions...also returned five punts and one kickoff for touchdowns......a playmaker...is hearing from Florida, UCLA, Colorado, Arizona, Washington, UNLV< and LSU...wants to stay on the West Coast...Bruins and Wildcats have offered...Arizona is recruiting him the hardest.

Class 4A All-State defense honorable mention ... first-team all-PIL on both offense and defense...has good footwork...teachable...has offers from California, Miami, Oregon, Oregon State, Washington, Washington State, Arizona State, Duke, and Nebraska...Nebraska is the early leader.

Had 64 tackles, 28 assists, two sacks, one pick and seven forced fumbles as a junior...Arizona, Arizona State, Washington, Oklahoma, Nebraska and Oregon State have offered...physical and tough...still learning the game...good upside...no favorite.

8.  Daniel Borg, OL | Ironwood Ridge (Tucson, AZ)

Has a written offer from Nebraska...also has offers from Washington, Arizona, and Vanderbilt...also likes Oregon State and Stanford...no leader yet...was second team all-state, first team all-Southern Arizona, first team all-region offensive tackle, and second team all-region defensive tackle as a junior...will attend team camps at Arizona, Washington, Oregon State and Nebraska...has family that live in Oregon...holds a 4.0 and scored an 1180 on the SAT...will commit if the town and situation feels right.

Receiving early interest from Oregon, Washingon, and Oregon State...all have offered him...plays 8-man ball...second team all-state as a junior...UO's assistant head coach Neal Zoumboukos calls him the best recruit in Oregon...likes Oregon State and Washington State because of their agricultural ties.

Older brother plays for BYU...considered the top recruit in Hawaii...interested in Hawaii, BYU, Utah, Colorado, and Oregon State...wants to stay close to home...caught 29 receptions for 1,020 yards and eight touchdowns...teammate of 2004 Beaver recruits Walker Vave, and Tevita Finau.
