Grool's keys to the game

Well, well. What do we have here? It appears that the Beavs control their own destiny. If they win three out of the last four they're going bowling! But, like Nell Carter said, God rest her chunky soul, one day at a time.

Oregon State's next challenge is down in Tuscon. Arizona has some of the worst turf in the league and it kind of feels like your playing on your driveway covered in leaves.  The stands are also going to be empty making a for a blah game atmosphere. Oregon State and Arizona are head to head in some recruiting battles and a big win could make up a mind or two.  Let's look at what has to happen to make it so.

1. Spread It Around
Derek Anderson needs to continue to get the ball to multiple receivers including the tight ends in this one. Look for Mike Hass and Marcel Love to have big games and lets hope that Anthony Wheat-Brown has a breakout game. With Derek's confidence high, this could be a huge passing day.

2. Ring the Bell
Arizona's feature back, Mike Bell, must be contained. He ran for almost 100 yards in the loss to Cal and the Beavs must pound him all day to make UA go to the backups. The drop off after Bell is steep.

3. Rattle the Newbie
Richard Kovalcheck's start will be his second and the Beavs need to make him feel uncomfortable in the pocket all day. He did a decent job last week although there were a lot of dropped passes that if caught, could have made his day statistically improved.

REMEMBER: It ain't over till Nell sings. Go Beavs!
