  • The multi-dimensional job responsibilities of a Pac-10 athletic director just got a little more varied.

    Recent approval by the NCAA board of directors of an annual 12-game football schedule will mean not only a full round-robin in the Pac-10, but some reassessment on intersectional opponents and television opportunities.

  • Tight end and forward Jim Hanchett was awarded the Glenn Klein Communtiy Service Award at the Benny Awards ceremony.  Wide receiver Mike Hass and safety Mitch Meeuwsen were selected as Benny All-Americans while tight end Pat Loney was the only football player to receive a Scholar Athlete Award given to a student who has a GPA of 3.50 or higher.
  • Running back Patrick Fuller received clearance from the NCAA and will be in Corvallis shortly.
  • Former Beaver receiver Ron Monteilh is working out with the Bills.
