Junior To Watch: Washington DL Richy Mulcahy

Everyone knows about Mill Creek (Wash.) Jackson wide receiver Craig Chambers who could be the top player in the Northwest next year. In addition to Chambers, there's another Div I prospect at Jackson in Richy Mulcahy who will be one of the top lineman in the state next season.

Mulcahy, a 6-4, 275 pound two way lineman earned All-League honors on both sides of the ball but would prefet to play defensive tackle in college. He's incredibly strong benching 350 pounds and has nice athleticism as well.

Mulcahy's is even more impressive academically carrying a 3.95 GPA and he has already scored a 1370 on the SAT. On the recruiting front, the talented lineman is hearing from Washington, Oregon, Oregon State, Washington State, Northwestern and Arizona State.

"I've liked Washington for a long time, they're my top school," Mulcahy said. "My parents went there and my sister goes there right now. I'm also looking at Stanford, Oregon, Notre Dame and Oregon State. I would like to stay fairly close to home and academics are a big part of my decision as well."

Mulcahy, who will major in Mathematics, will attend the Nike Camp in Eugene as well as the Washington football camp over the summer.
