UCLA at Stanford +7.5.
I'm in the minority on this pick, but that's why I like it. Stanford has won it's last three games as a dog and wouldn't it make sense on the week of the dogs for the Trees to take care of business again? I like the fact that they are at home and I love the extra half point that us wiseguys refer to as the hook.
I'm calling for an upset here, but my wallet is taking the points. A moneyline play here would pay you approximately 2.3 times your wager. UCLA is starting to look ahead to USC while Stanford is scraping for a couple more wins to get into a bowl game.
I see a lot of value in the Cardinal here at home. They are playing with
confidence now and Bleeda is smellin' an upset.
Value of the Week
Washington State +29.5 at USC.
The Trojans are 1-4 ATS in Pac-10 play and have not covered for four consecutive weeks while the Cougs are coming off of two "Coooooog" its (but covers).
For the first time in Pac-10 play this year USC scored more than 50 points. I figure Washington State is good for at least 24. The reasoning? That's what the Huskies scored on USC last week.
I don't see the Trojans scoring more than 53, so this one obviously has cover written all over it. WAZZU is not that bad of a football team. They have weapons in running back Jerome Harrison and wideout Jason Hill and will not lose by more than four touchdowns.
Great value with WAZZU here.
MAC Wiseguys Game of the Year
Kent State at Western Michigan -7.
This game opened at -4 for the Western Michigan Broncos. Lots of heavy hitters that follow the MAC Conference are throwing down big on this game and calling it their game of the year.
Western Michigan has won four out their last five, while the Kent State Golden Flashes have lost five in a row. When a wiseguy that calls himself BallBreaker goes hard on a game in a conference he follows, one just has to listen.
This Wiseguy here is on a cold streak so I might as well gravy train off a
MAC wiseguy. This pick courtesy of BallBreaker.
Any chance the Beavers bring out the orange jerseys in honor of Halloween weekend? I'm all for it. It's just what I need to get a winning steak started.
Good luck on your picks everyone. Bleed it! Baleed it! And Believe it!
