No decision yet for DE/DT, holds two offers

Foothill College defensive lineman Alex Fa'agai has received an offer from Oregon State and Kentucky. Contrary to a published report, however, he has not verbally committed to Oregon State. But he certainly likes the Beavs.

"I have trips scheduled to Oregon State and Kentucky in December," said Fa'agai. "Oregon State is December 2 and Kentucky is December 16."

Other schools showing marked interest of late include Boise State, Washington State, UNLV and Arizona.

Fa'agai has put on 15 more pounds and checks in at 6-foot-4 and 265 pounds. Oregon State has talked to him about playing both defensive end and defensive tackle. Moving up and down the line this season at Foothill JC, he racked up 10 sacks through seven games before spraining his MCL.

Coaches Danny Langsdorf, Mike Riley and Greg Newhouse are all recruiting Fa'agai for Oregon State.

"I love their program," said Fa'agai.

Oregon State has already received one verbal commitment from another Foothill standout this recruiting class -- Keith Robertson. The 6-foot-3, 240-pound defensive end originally signed with Oregon State in 2003 before going the junior college route.
