Lamar Hurd, a 6'3" combo guard from Heritage Christian High School in Cleveland, Texas will visit Oregon State this week, according to BeaverFootball.com partner TheInsidersHoops.com. Dave Telep is reporting that Jay John and his staff have been recruiting Hurd over the past few weeks and that he will visit Corvallis this Wednesday.
Hurd orally committed to Baylor earlier in the signing period, but has not signed. He has been receiving increasing attention of late and is reconsidering his commitment.
Hurd averaged almost a triple double his senior season with 9 points, 9 assists, and 8 rebounds per game, running the talent laden team. Heritage Christian is a school of less than 50 students, but has lots of talent. A few of his teammates will also be playing at the D-1 level, including Cedric Hensley, who scored 101 points in a game last season.
