Anyway, this is Thanksgiving week, with a mess of good rivalry games again.
What's better than eating turkey, watching football, and throwing down cold cash
on games? Eating leftovers on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, watching more football
and getting action on even more games. Ok, let's get to work now.
Pittsburgh at #13 West Virginia -14.5.
Big-time rivalry game known as the "Backyard Brawl" will be played on Thanksgiving Day at 8 p.m. It's a lot of wood to lay but I like the Mountaineers to climb over the Panthers and cover the number. I'm buying a half-point for insurance since 3.5, 7.5, 10.5, and 14.5 lines make me a nervous wreck. Lots of factors make me lean toward WV. Revenge factor from last year, clinching BCS berth for Big East title is huge motivation, and playing rivalry game at home.
They have covered the spread in the last four games and are 100% healthy.
Weather report is 15 degrees, 20-30 mph winds, and 30% chance of snow showers.
If it snows hard at kickoff the Under 42 could be attractive. This game opened
up at -9 for the Mountaineers. Bleeda gets in just in time. West Virginia wins
by 17. "We don't like them and they don't like us," said WV quarterback Pat White of one of the nastiest rivalries in college football.
TexASS -27.5 at Texas A&M.
Now before you Longhorn fans start sending me hate mail for those capital letters, I must inform you that my money is with your squad this week. They are 9-1 ATS this year, while A&M is a lousy 3-6 versus the spread. UT is crushing everyone they play and scoring an average of 50.1 points per game. Quarterback Vince Young will get to showcase his skillz on ABC Friday as he continues his Heisman Trophy campaign (too bad Reggie Bush is going to win it). Hook em Horns! ASS 55 A&M 13.
Oklahoma State +19.5 at Oklahoma.
Instate rivalry game and another big line. On this one I have to go with the dog OSU. After I hit WV on Thursday and TexASS on Friday, I'll be looking to finish with a 3-0 sweep on Saturday. Most cappers had this one penciled in at 14-16 for the Sooners, so it looks like some kind of mistake was made. Oklahoma is not 100% healthy, is young, and has not blown anybody out this year. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU. O S U! Fight! Fight! Fight!
Ok, now go make some money, eat some turkey, put on 10 pounds, ignore your relatives, and watch football all weekend. Have a Happy Thanksgiving! Baleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed it!
